From a Memo Pad to a City Keepsake

A layered paper scene hidden inside a working memo block — the product reveals itself over weeks of everyday use. The sequence below shows one of our existing architectural designs, from intact block to revealed sculpture.

Intact 3D memo pad block with pen-holder top before any sheets are removed
1

Start With a Usable Memo Block

Hundreds of functional memo sheets, laser-cut and printed with the scene hidden inside. It works like any desk memo pad — write on it, tear sheets off, use it daily.

2

Remove the Sheets to Reveal the Scene

As the sheets are used up, the silhouette of your skyline or landmark emerges layer by layer — the gradual reveal that makes these pieces shareable and collectible.

3

Keep the Paper Sculpture

The remaining layered scene sits on its base as a desk keepsake of the city. Pen-holder tops and LED light bases are optional add-ons for gift projects.

Choose a City Souvenir Design Direction

Four directions buyers most often start from — each shown below with a real design from our catalogue. Every scene can be adapted to your city’s landmarks and signature views.

  • Best forcity series, airport & flagship souvenir shops, collectible lines
  • Send us3–5 reference photos, or a list of buildings in your city’s “signature” view

  • Send usclear photos of the angle visitors photograph most
Hong Kong Victoria Harbour 3D memo pad viewed from the water side, showing harbour, ferry and city towers Existing catalog style

  • Best fordistrict souvenirs, cultural gift shops, seasonal editions

Designed for Destination Merchandise Projects

Different buyers need different things from the same product — here’s how we usually work with each.

🛍️

Souvenir Shops & Wholesalers

Series-ready designs your customers can collect across visits, with packaging that competes on a busy shelf. Existing stock scenes start at MOQ 1; reorders keep the same factory price.

🗼

Tourist Attractions

A keepsake of the visit itself: the landmark visitors just photographed, recreated in paper they gradually reveal at home. Commemorative text and attraction branding can be added.

🏛️

Museum & Cultural Gift Shops

A quieter, crafted presentation for curated retail environments — reflective of the collection, not the souvenir rack. We adapt scene composition to fit the institution’s story.

🎁

Destination Brands & Promotional Projects

City campaigns, hotel welcome gifts and event commemoratives with private-label presentation — your brand on the box, the base and the inserts.

What Can Be Customized?

Every city project is a conversation. This table shows what we can discuss, and what we confirm together before quoting.

ItemOptions we can discussConfirmed before quoting
City or landmark themeSingle landmark, combined skyline, or a cultural sceneYour reference material & feasibility review
Scene compositionWhich structures appear, in what arrangement, and what the reveal looks like at each stageLayered structure proposal & your approval
Paper colorsScheme matched to your city branding or retail seriesColor references you approve
Dimensions & sheet countFormats from pocket size to larger display pieces; calendar or plain memo layoutsWeight and retail-format targets
Logo & commemorative textBrand mark or event text — typically on the base or the packagingPrint-ready logo file
PackagingGift box, acrylic dust cover, barcode & retail labelingYour market’s requirements (e.g. FBA)
Private-label presentationYour brand on the box and insertsOrder quantity & label details
Two scopes of work. Adjusting branding and packaging on an existing design is a lighter project. Developing a brand-new city or landmark scene includes structural design, layering tests and a sample round — so it is quoted separately, after the design review.
Private-label gift boxes and acrylic case with your brand printed on the lid and sleeve
Private-label presentation — your brand on the gift box, sleeve and acrylic cover; box colour and commemorative naming are confirmed together with your artwork.

From Landmark References to a Sample

Five steps from your first email to a physical sample on your desk.

1

Share Your City & Requirements

Send your city, landmark and project details — quantity, use case, target timeline.

2

Design Feasibility Review

We assess recognizability, layered structure and the details that matter — and flag what may need simplification.

3

Confirm Concept & Scope

You approve the scene concept and the customization scope before development continues.

4

Develop & Review a Sample

A physical sample of the actual product, before any bulk commitment.

5

Confirm Specs, Then Bulk

Specifications locked and confirmed — then mass production begins.

Not every photograph converts directly into a finished layered scene — angle, contrast and detail density all matter. Fine architectural elements may need simplification to stay readable at product scale; the feasibility review exists to find those answers before you spend on tooling.

Two Checklists That Save Time

One for preparing your enquiry, one for evaluating the sample when it arrives.

What to Send for a Design Review

  • City and landmark name
  • Reference photos from useful angles — high-resolution, unedited if possible
  • Must-have design details: the elements visitors recognize first
  • Intended retail or gifting use
  • Estimated quantity — a rough range is fine
  • Packaging and branding preferences
  • Target delivery date, if applicable

High-resolution photos are the most useful starting point. If you have vector artwork or technical drawings, mention them — we’ll confirm during review whether they can be used directly. Please make sure any photos, logos and design material you share are cleared for your intended use.

What to Check in Your Sample

  • Landmark recognizability — does it read instantly, like a silhouette?
  • Paper-layer detail — clean cuts, correct depth between layers
  • Usable writing area — the memo function before the reveal
  • Sheet removal experience — smooth and satisfying to tear
  • Stability of the remaining sculpture once fully revealed
  • Color and branding accuracy against your approvals
  • Packaging fit — how it presents and protects in transit

This is the evaluation list we suggest walking through with your team before approving bulk production. Note any findings back to us — adjustments are far easier at sample stage than after production.

Single memo sheet with engraved cloud and crane artwork and a handwritten note
Usable writing area — the top sheets work as an everyday memo pad; the engraved artwork sits beneath them and appears layer by layer as the pad is used up.

Custom City Souvenir 3D Memo Pad FAQs

The questions buyers ask most before starting a city project. Anything else — email us, we’re online 24/7.

Can you create a memo pad based on our city landmark?
Yes — landmark-based scenes are one of our existing production capabilities, alongside cultural and character scenes. During a design review we check how recognizable your landmark is at memo-pad scale, and which architectural details can be kept or need simplifying. Send photos and we will confirm feasibility before you commit to anything.
Can we customize a city skyline instead of one building?
Yes. Skyline compositions — several buildings arranged as one scene — are possible as custom development; they are a design direction we develop per project rather than a stock option. Recognition matters: the fewer buildings you include, the clearer the silhouette. We’ll advise on the right balance during review.
What photos or files should we provide?
High-resolution photos from the angles visitors photograph most are the most useful starting point. If you have vector artwork or technical drawings, mention them in your message and we will confirm during review whether they can be used directly. You can send files by email after the first reply — no upload needed.
Can we add our logo and custom packaging?
Yes. Logos are typically placed on the base or the packaging, and we support retail-ready gift boxes, acrylic dust covers, barcodes and private-label presentation — including FBA labeling for Amazon sellers. Print-ready logo files are confirmed during the review.
Can we review a sample before bulk production?
Yes — a physical sample is a standard step before any bulk order; you approve the layered structure and finishing on the actual product. A sample fee, if required, is discussed with your quotation and refunded in the mass production order.
What affects the quotation?
Mainly four things: scene complexity (number of layers and architectural detail), size and sheet count, materials and finishing (LED base, acrylic cover, pen-holder top), and packaging. Order quantity changes the unit price but not the design work, and the shipping destination affects logistics cost.
What is the minimum order quantity?
For existing stock-design scenes, MOQ is 1 piece — the same per-unit factory price we give wholesalers. Brand-new city or landmark developments are a different scope of work, so they start with a pilot run agreed at the design-review stage.
How long does development and production take?
Typical flow: design review and concept within 48 hours, physical sample in about 5–7 days after approval, and mass production of 15–25 days depending on quantity and finishing. Complex landmark scenes may need extra review rounds — your timeline is confirmed with the quotation.
